This integration pack enables existing and new HP Software customers to visualize and control Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices connected through the Panduit DPoE system hardware infrastructure.

The Panduit DPoE system provides HP Network Node Manager software users with an additional demarcation point in the enterprise for physical location asset tracking, remote power control, and realtime alerting of fault conditions which may occur in the power domain. This capability is essential for all IT, facility and services managers who need additional visibility of the powered states of critical devices such as IP phones, network-based cameras, wireless access points, and PoE-enabled IP building controls.
This integration supports the following capabilities:
- Network Node Manager users see uniquely-identifiable Panduit Power over Ethernet symbols in the network map.
- The objects which represent Panduit DPoE Power Patch Panels have unique attributes that can be used to search the HP Software database.
- Alarms and traps which are generated by the Panduit DPoE Power Patch Panels appear in the HP Software Alarm Browser and contain clear information on the details of the event.
- New menu items have been added to NNM to allow management of Panduit DPoE Power Patch Panels with a few simple mouse clicks.
